We, the men at FRF, desire to make a real difference in our families, our church, our world. We believe it is past time for men to wake up and step up and become the spiritual leaders God ordained us to be. To call ourselves "Men of the Sword" is an acknowledgment that we are at war and that we are armed and dangerous to our enemy. And what we are armed with, by the way, what the "sword" signifies, is the word of God. So it is that Paul tells us, as soldiers of Christ, to "...put on the full armor of God..." (Ephesians 6:10-18) and to take up the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit.
Armed and dangerous...but not alone. Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We need each other--to encourage, counsel, pray for, and fight for each other.
But the Sword of the Spirit is not only a weapon for warfare; it is also an instrument of healing. Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."
"Men of the Sword," the men of FRF, are currently planning several events to foster an environment for spiritual growth and unity among our men.
We invite you...no, we challenge you--take your place in the battle. Truly, lives depend on what you will do with yours.
Be a "Man of the Sword"
